REAL GODDESS GIRLS WE HAVE LIFTOFF! π
On Sunday, 4/27/25, there was a super new moon in Taurus. Mother Earth blessed us with weather that was just right in Tidewater, Virginia; it was a perfect 70 degrees, not too warm or too cold, sunny and dry, not muggy, and not yet buggy.
Mystic Moon of Norfolk hosted our live, in-person launch for the books Real Goddess Guide to Puberty and Power, and Real Goddess Girls Natural Time Journal. The shop is celebrating its 27th Anniversary this year. It is the second oldest metaphysical shop on the east coast, filled with all things needed for magical, mystical work. It has a beautiful garden out back, where it hosts live drum circles every week, as well as other gatherings.
This particular gathering was in the late afternoon, and even though I had sometimes wondered if anyone would come out at that time, we had great attendance. The girls, and mothers and others who joined us, were very attentive. They were all able to hold attention for our sound, breathing and awareness exercises. They listened to the talk and reading well, and asked great questions.
After the formal part of the launch, we had munchies and mingled. Girls introduced themselves to each other, as did their parents. I got to hear some of their own stories as I signed books. The vibes were warm and wonderful.
It meant the world to me to see so many who I love in support of this work. This beautiful cohort included beloved family and friends, and some of the most important spiritual teachers in my life. But most importantly, it included young girls who were the ideal age to read this book.
Some of the girls in attendance knew me, and some knew my husband, and I was delighted to get to share the real goddess girls message with them. And there was exactly one girl who attended that had no prior connection with me or anyone else there.
She came up to me to sign her book, and told me that she was drawn to attend from a postcard she had seen posted at school. We talked a little about her life, and some of the things I hoped reading this book would inspire her to seed in her life. Her mom and I spoke briefly about the importance of having a First Moon Cycle ceremony, and how whenever you feel led to create one is always perfect for you.
Every. Single. Person. All who were there, meant more to me than words can express, and I am beyond grateful for the honor of your presence that day. But this particular young goddess who came was the greatest gift I could have ever received. Because her being there felt as if the Universe was affirming to me that if I put out this important message in service to Life, then Life would indeed draw the right people to receive it. And she was, of course, the perfect person to give me this extraordinary gift. One. Beautiful. Girl.
And what was the mysterious thread that connected us? How did that connection come to be? A short while ago I attended a rally of people who were gathered to confront the dangers happening in our country and community right now, most importantly how to protect the innocent from ICE. I had taken a few postcards to give out to friends who I expected would be there. As these events go, I also talked with other people there. One of whom was her teacher, who took a postcard, and posted it as promised, where this young goddess saw it.
So the mystical force that drew us together was in fact love. Our love for our country and community drew both her teacher and I to rally together. His love for his students prompted him to pin up the postcard. Her motherβs love for her daughter led her to give up her Sunday afternoon to take her to this event. And surely, the self-love our young goddess girl felt inspired her to ask to come.
This story proves, once again, how the invisible, magical thread which binds us together is love. We are all woven together by Spirit in one extraordinary, beautiful tapestry of Life. Where the web is already woven. And there is Life!
We have liftoff, real goddess girls! Let the might of our mythos lead our way!
